Sad to know that when her mother first went to the police, they did nothing. Only after she took the matter to court—and even the high court had to intervene—were the police finally ordered to register an FIR and begin an investigation. They wasted 5–6 months and only acted under pressure from the court. What a deeply disappointing reflection of the system.

Respect to her mother for not losing hope and fighting for justice despite everything. Now imagine all the mothers who are still waiting for their daughters, without the resources to hire lawyers or push their cases forward. How many have been dismissed or ridiculed with excuses like “she ran away with someone”?

Yes, the gang was eventually caught—but far too late. And it makes you wonder how many others are still missing, waiting for action that may only come after court orders 😢
