Another autumn trip to the taiga turned out to be full of activities and forest discoveries. I had to urgently check the camera trap on the bait—the photos had stopped coming in—and also assessed the situation with bear tracks in the hunting grounds.
While exploring a new trail along the slope, I came across an old blind and a salt lick. Then I checked the condition of the forest huts, successfully lured and bagged a hazel grouse for dinner, cooked taiga soup, and stocked up on firewood for the night before completing the fur trade paperwork. Real taiga life, as it really is!
