I am impressed with your methodology. General introduction, you put the whole problematic into perspective, then you did indoor testings, then outdoor practical testings in various settings, you didn’t forget to mention the limitations of your study, finally you wrapped it up with conclusive remarks. Pure science. All respect!

After staring at these for a long time side by side in the store I noticed that the Kobalt blade is slightly convexed closer to the tip compared to the Fiskars' flat grind.

I have both of these, I like them both. I've had overstrikes using both of them and was glad that I had the composite handles.

Thanks mate good comparison testing

Fiskar is a good brand.
But now I'm older and use the hydraulic and kinetic splitter, but your video is interesting. Thanks for your review.👍

Excellent review, big help, Thank you! I’ve Fiskars 8Lb ISO maul, love it. X27 axe would be very good to have also. I was thinking of kobalt which is why I watched this video.

I have the fiskars at home and I love it. I also have an 8lb mal that I’ve owned for 15 years and I enjoy that too.

While i appreciate the comparison testing, and i do sometimes use an axe, watching this effort made my back hurt and made me super appreciate my 26-ton log splitter :)  Now if i could just find a good electric splitter with >20 ton force, i'd be so happy to get away from gasoline.

Recently switched to a council tool splitting axe. Never using a traditional maul again.

Axs proof wood huh, them were just bouncing off it that 1 pice especially. Looking all knots through out that's Tuff Stuff and a bit Ruff 2. Ty 4 video.

You mentioned the Fiskars X27 having an “ isocore “ handle…… however it DOES NOT have that feature but their heavier mauls DO have that  particular handle though.

This all other brands don't have warranty so long as fiskars in case if handle broke

a favorite tool for productive work. Fiskars is the best.

Una buena comparativa, pero el usar buenas herramientas y verlas como se estrellan contra la tierra no es buena idea para montener un buen corte

Very educational video, for all beginners in splitting. This is not a good tool. This is dangerous! Too little mass and bad blade shape. Suitable for smaller specimens of softer wood. You have weight and with such exaggerations in hardwood you were unsuccessful. Smart enough. If you had a model with a shorter handle you would have ended up in the hospital because your axe flies in all directions. Avoid that fashionable crap.

Why are you hit the ground every time when you hit the wood?

so ein saublöder test. schade um die zeit.

That was a dumb test. How about use it for few months then tell your story. Fiskars has a lifetime full no questions ask warranty.  Can’t beat that.

They are both garbage.  Buy a Gransfors Bruks.
