🚨 Can you actually go to Jamaica right now? After Hurricane Melissa (October 2025), Jamaica's resorts are in full comeback mode. Here's the honest open-status guide for fall 2026: which resorts are actually open, which are still closed, and the exact reopening dates β€” so you can book your winter trip with confidence.

WHAT'S OPEN NOW: all 5 Royalton resorts (Royalton Negril, Hideaway Negril, Grand Lido reopened Aug 25, 2026; Royalton Blue Waters + Hideaway Blue Waters followed Sep 15), 4 Sandals resorts (Negril, Ochi, Royal Plantation, Dunn's River) + Beaches Negril, Half Moon Montego Bay (open since Apr 2, 2026), Excellence Oyster Bay (running 60%+ occupancy), Moon Palace Jamaica, Couples Tower Isle, plus RIU and Iberostar properties. Jamaica's tourism officials say more than 70% of the island's hotel rooms are back in operation, with the rest expected back by early 2027.

STILL CLOSED: Sandals South Coast (reopens Nov 18, 2026), Sandals Montego Bay and the renamed Sandals Caribbean Cay (both Dec 18, 2026). And the 7 Hyatt resorts in Montego Bay/Rose Hall β€” Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (booking sites show it closed through Mar 31, 2027), Hyatt Zilara, Secrets St. James, Secrets Wild Orchid, Dreams Rose Hall, Breathless, and Jewel Grande β€” stay closed into early 2027. Don't book these for this winter.

FROM-PRICES we checked (per night for two adults, all-inclusive): Royalton Negril from around $302, Sandals Negril from around $380, Sandals Ochi from around $320. Prices change daily β€” always confirm the live rate before you book.
