I have done crazy rivers in my younger days in SC and Georgia, and then the Buffalos in Tennessee and Arkansas, and 11 Point. In my senior years, I mostly went on the Missouri National Scenic Riverways, but have retired from the rivers now and selling my 10' fishing kayak. My last trip was on the Current River to Cave Spring, one of my favorite spots. We had a large group on the Arkansas Buffalo and ran low on food so we caught fish to eat. The morning we left we had one dozen eggs left and almost fought over who got too much scrambled eggs. Those who have never canoed or kayaked, have missed out on one of life's great rewards...

A great thing about going down the Buffalo is that, not only are the bluffs are so beautiful, the water is just as lovely and clear. When you are floating/paddling over the large pools it is like  looking down into an aquarium-with all the varieties of fish and turtles.

I absolutely love the pup. He's so interested in everything going on and  so independent. A perfect companion for this amazing trip🥰

I feel spoiled.  I live about an hour from Ponca, and grew up going to Camp Orr, just past Kyle's Landing--that really was my childhood playground.  We had a family from Florida with us this past week and I showed them Boxley Valley, and we Hiked Hawksbill Crag, Lost Valley and made a trip to Kyles landing to hike the river.  While there, several kayakers went by, and our friends from Florida want to come kayak and camp the river next summer.  I'm excited and your video just made me smile.   I'm sending this video with them.

You did an incredible job capturing the experience and editing it all together. Bucket list trip for me and my RVR.

The Buffalo is the most magical place on earth. I lived in Fayetteville for 11 years. I was a frequent kayaker. Many great rivers around the Ozarks but the Buffalo is just too good. Worth doing over and over again

I love that at around 4:37 you mention looking for camp, right as you paddle past steel creek campground on your right with walk-in camping.

Nice.  This is my favorite river in CONUS and I live Texas so it's close.  I set up a fairly heavy and comfortable base camp at the White Buffalo camp ground at the confluence of the Buffalo and the White rivers and get the world class trout fishing on the White & every float on the Buffalo is a short drive.  Thanks for taking us along.  XfedLEO

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Buffalo!  Ponca to Steele creek is incredible. Go back and do it just after a big rain. Waterfalls will be pouring over the bluffs, and the water will be fast, rapids  will be up. I once paddled Ponca to Steele creek with a big, wet, dog butt in front of me, because the crazy dog wouldn’t sit down. 😂. We used to live two hours from Ponca, but now we live at the base of the Colorado Rockies, 800+ miles away. My husband and I love to make a spur of the moment trip back, when we see that the water will be high.

Loved this adventure. I know for a fact a paddleboard wouldn’t be a good idea for how shallow that water was lol.
The way you make your videos and narrate thru it is so amazing, gives me a lot of ideas on my videos. You’re one of my top favorite channels, been that way for years, and so happy you continue to do these amazing adventures.
