Hi! Today marks 100 days in Project Zomboid, but I'll be creating a cure for the zombie virus while adhering to pacifist principles. This means no direct violence against zombies, no abuse of machines, and no fire. I also won't loot corpses, except for items needed for the vaccine. I thought it might be interesting to live without the ability to simply slash zombies with an axe.

Detailed sandbox settings (I'm specifying settings different from the apocalypse and standard mod settings):
Advanced settings: no respawn, 1200 migration. After about 20 days, I felt better and disabled zombie grouping. Zombies are affected by time of day, rain, and fog. Zombies can run in fog, but their vision is impaired. (I'd forgotten about this and was very surprised.)
Start time: July 1st
Nature: "Dirty water" hint disabled
Event frequency: Helicopters - never. I'd also forgotten about this...
Number of items in the world: all food - "extremely low," everything else - "very low."
Zombies: Activate alarms in houses. Spear traps don't kill the player,
Barricades injure zombies.
zRe Vaccine 2: Possibility of finding a vaccine in zombies - 0
Stronger Furniture Barricades: 10
