Regarding bags:
I was gifted an EXO K4 for my bday last year.
It's the 3600 (kind of mid range size) and empty - it's maybe 1pound.
The version one smaller than this 3600 may be the ticket for you. Great pack, reliable beyond belief, but also light as you could ever want.
Packed half an elk out with my new K4 3600 last fall - front, back quarter and loins - without a problem here in NM.

Be well man, keep up the good work.

EXO K4 5000!

Where did you purchase those racks in the garage, used to hang gear.

So many packs out there to pick from.not hard to find a good one at all. With all the money you got tied up in gear I was shocked to see the pack and comment that it’s so hard to find a good one.most companies out there now have a great selection of 2500 size paacks and most of them now have some kind of frame work. I like Eberlestock for what we do. Take a look at their freefall on sale now I think their new scout pack is a great fit for a day hunt pack.
