bro made a whole vid of a car just to prepare the punchline of Merry Chrysler

The Daimlyer-Chrysler merger was never anything but economic warfare. in it's own right.

Imagine, with one simple decision, Chrysler might still exist... 🤯

The ME412 looks so much better than the SLR

Though the Chrysler/DB  deal was pitched as a merger of equals to the stock holders and regulators, it was anything but.  Years later it came out that Chrysler CEO, Bob Eaton, knew of Mercs unwillingnwss to share contemporary tech with Chrysler, but sold it to stock holders and regulators as the opposite.  Bob Eaton made a fortune from the merger, doomed the company, and should have been charged with fraud and numerous other SEC crimes.  Bob Eaton should be spoken of in the same way as Roger Smith, and Jack Welch.

R.I.P Chrysler ME Four Twelve.

You inspired a poor brazillian kid with an old ps2 into engineering.

This oddball project has a real big place on my heart

Amazing looking car, first saw it in a Top Trumps book along with the Cadillac Cien.

Not developing the Viper V10 was a huge mistake. They could have destroked it, & turbocharged it. Even develope 4V heads for it.

This car was forever engraved into my memory cause of Hotshot from Transformers Cybertron, this thing won the world race on an whole different literally called “speed planet”

I was delighted to see you found a use for the car adverts that I uploaded.  At the time, it felt like it was probably a waste of time, but this is now the second time that a channel I subscribe to and enjoy has incorporated such footage.  Cool!

Pagani's Continuous use of that engine has also proven it's reliability

This car was so stunning it got into Solid State Society somehow

The issue is, if the ME Four-Twelve got launched, Chrysler would have to significantly improve the rest of their products to match it. I don't think that Mercedes would've wanted to raise Chrysler back up to "premium brand" status; a direct competitor.

With that being said, I'm pretty sure there was resistance within Mercedes itself because of performance and timing, like you mentioned. Great video. Merry Christmas!

remember the chrystler copperhead???

I read years ago that Diamler basically sabotaged Chrysler all the way around. Chrysler already had a future production portfolio that would've hurt Mercedes-Benz. Most of those gorgeous early concept cars were all production intent.

Just playing my old copy of midnight club three dub edition on PSP and didn’t even know the ME-412 was a car

R8 always gives me ME412 vibes.

Great video. If the ME Four-Twelve was shelved for out-engineering Mercedes with their own parts. So  why hasn’t anyone gone full ME Four-Twelve mode again and pushed the envelope?

Test mule for the SLS was a Viper because its development started as the next generation Viper.

Even without corporate meddling, I do not believe this car would have made it to production.  Making a running prototype or two is nowhere near the effort and funds needed to actually make production.
