Michael’s dad here - as an active 5SOS dad, I lurk, I find, I watch, I comment :) !! x
Really nice review guys! Not sure where you guys are located - but are you gonna see a live 5SOS show in 2026?

The way Evolve just takes over the body is INSANE

Everyone should watch the Drumeo video with Ashton where he did a Megadeth song. Man deserves all the flowers.

I have been listening to 5sos for years and they have NEVER disapointed me. its sad that they don't get the attention they deserve but  anyone who listens to them can see how good they are. so much better than the 'popular' music today.

you should listen to their other albums too <3

i love when my comfort middle aged man podcasters post a video reacting to stuff i love

5sos are such a good band & they deserve so much love

They said the song Boyband was written about their time touring with One Direction! They also released it as a single on the anniversary of Liam’s passing

Y'all the bonus track "cool dad" is THE BOMB

Evolve is such a banger, I almost crashed my car listening to it the first time, holy shit it's a banger

and PLEASE react to more of their discography!! their sound has evolved so much since 2011, but there are gems hidden in every album.

13:19 fun fact, the vocals here are sierra deaton/hemmings, luke hemmings’ (main vocals) wife! she sang live with them one time and she has such an incredible voice, she also sang on ghost im pretty sure

Correction: she wrote ghost with luke, not sang on it

These boys never disappoint. Every album has brought something different. They always surprise us. Their sound has matured so well. Luke the main guy is an angel when he sings. They are all great on instruments but Ashton that man is a demon on the drums. Probably one of the best in the industry. Their solo projects definitely built this album into the greatness that it is. Definitely recommend them all. Michael one of the Guitarist has my favorite. 2000s emo pop punk my life blood😂 Boyband is a tribute to Liam Payne. Came out on his anniversary. A good way to dive into the boys is their amazing performance at the Robert Scott Hall. Buy on YouTube or stream for free as The Feeling of Falling Upwards. Ashton goes so hard the entire time. So proud of these boys, their growth, self awareness and ability to have fun with each other and the fans. Yall are so fun to watch❤. Put Midnight til Morning on your radar. 5S0S coated with some twang❤❤

absolutely looooove this reaction guys! honestly it’s very common for people who are going in blind to expect “lower quality” and get their minds blown with how good they are bc unfortunately 5sos is still criminally underrated!!!
you’re definitely gonna love their old stuff as well and i’m so here for watching it. I personally recommend 5SOS5 and CALM, but their first two albums go hard on pop/punk so I say you react to all of them 😁

The reaction to evolve is exactly what i want everyone to react to it 😂

I think you will love sgfg! Is a very pop punk/rock sound, the rocks is very similar with their old music! Every 5sos álbum is a new world. But if I had to say start to the beginning! Love the video ❤

5SOS are a fantastic band. Hope you guys will give the other albums a listen as well.

Yes yes yess now time to dive into their other albums too!! they evolved a lot throughout the years but their lyrics and sound always stayed top notch!! Promise you won’t be disappointed doing a deep dive! Their albums “Youngblood,” “calm,” “5SOS5,” and even “sounds good feels good” are so incredible!!

yaay..please do all their album reactions just like you did with 1D..i'm 100% sure you will love them and their songs even more after :D

They do all have solo music, the closest sounding to this record is probably Michael's album Sidequest which came out a few months ago
