Dang Bro, bummer about the cost of fuel eating away at your pay.

When you stopped on I-20 in West Texas for fuel and a shower,  you were in the oil patch where you tripped over rigs running fracking sand, carrying old fracking water, or loaded with sand boxes for oil and gas drilling. That is evidence of "drill, baby, drill," which most of us in California will never benefit from.

What about pretzel M&Ms ??  Those are my fave by far!
