BT should upload more of these old 80’s and 90’s fights

Watched this live. Ill never forget it. Walked home at 4am in the morning feeling like the world had shifted of its axis.

Douglas done everything right in this fight. Inside game and outside was on point

Douglas was a fine example of self belief...... He fought brilliantly...

There is NO controversy regarding the count given to Buster. He was stunned but NOT seriously hurt. He was in full
control of his faculties. Like all skilled fighters, Buster knew to take his time. He`s watching the Ref closely; as soon
as he hears the count of "9" he rises. He would have beaten the count no matter what.

the best knockout call in the history of boxing.

Who else misses 90's heavyweight fights? Man those were the days.

Buster mum dies two weeks ago real strength for his mum what a moment

Buster didn`t just beat Mike, he gave him an absolute hiding. Smacked him from pillar to post.

That's the most excited and astonished I've ever heard a commentator when Mike got knocked down and counted out the commentator screeched "Unbelievable" 3 times

There was no controversy in this fight, Buster Douglas fought the fight of his life, he didn't gradually work his way into the fight,  he took charge from the opening Bell, Tyson couldn't cope with Buster's hand speed and footwork  people were saying that Mike looked sluggish and couldn't get off with his shots! Maybe the man in front of him had something to do with that! For the first time in his career, Tyson was fighting an opponent who wasn't afraid of him, the only round I gave to Tyson was the 8th, I'm a Tyson fan he was great for the sport, but in this fight, Buster Douglas was the better man.

seeing mike fall to the canvas is like seeing a legend fall before your eyes

The commentator
Bob "The General" Sheridan
Best to ever do it!

What a great call, one of the greatest calls in sports history by this announcer

One of boxing's greatest astonishment's, Tyson's first professional loss, It shocked the boxing world to it's very core. This fight is still talked about to this day. It proves that even the strongest most dreaded fighter can be defeated when someone refuses to give up. Absolutely astonishing!

He deserved that win..

The ridiculousness of this fight the judges had Tyson ahead on points throughout. Corrupt Don King!

Most people don't realize that there was NO WAY Douglas would have won the fight without the knockout. The judges were ordered to assure that Tyson would have won. At the time of the knockout, one of the judges had Douglas way ahead, another had Tyson ahead, and the third judge had the fight a draw. If Tyson would have went the distance, for certain he would have won a split decision, with the third judge having Tyson win by one point.
This is how they were going to keep the payday with Holyfield assured.
Don King even did his best to strip Douglas of the title after the knockout to keep his massive payday with Holyfield alive, but it didn't work.
Professional boxing has been fixed forever...

Great commentary by Bob Sheridan. He called it perfectly, saying what we were thinking , as the fight progressed.
