Rickenbacker Model 4001 Vintage Bass Guitar made in 1977. How to repair and maintain a totally neglected Instrument that wasn't played for a long long time. In this Video I will show you the afford that I have invested in cleaning up this totally neglected Instrument and what I have done to make it playable again. Quite a time consuming process and the only invest was a set of new Strings. Here is the story why this Rickenbacker Bass is so special for me...
My Day bought me my first Bass Guitar when I was 16 years old and of course it was not a Rickenbacker... but it was a Washburn Force Bass Guitar in high gloss black finish and with a amazing looking red Binding and for me this Instrument looks very Rickenbacker like ...Sadly it was stolen out of my Car while I used to play a Gig in the Frankfurt University back in the 90´s.... And since then I have played many different Band and could never afford a original Rickenbacker and after exactly 40 years while I get my first Bass from my Dad I managed to buy myself this instrument...
I will talk about that ij this Video too...
I will also talk about some very special features of this Instrument and what it makes so special for me personally...
I thought maybe it's interesting for you to show you how to bring such an Instrument back on track without investing any money and therefor I have made this "Zero Budget Guitar Repair Video".
Feel free to let me know if this was interesting for your down in my comments.
