Excellent video. It is amazing to watch and understand the skill and nerve to bring in a ship that size in to Sharpness. When you  look arialy at the size of this ship to the tall ships moored by the entrance it put it into context. Thank you Chris for taking the time to produce a high quality video.

Years and years of experience leads to this level of skill. Great video.

Best use of drone that I have seen in a while.

That was very impressive to watch how the crew handled every aspect of the challenging arrival into Sharpness. Appreciated the excellent filming and descriptions that really emphasized the tight spaces.   Absolutely riveting!!

A perfect manouvre by pilot and crew

Great  video andstunninb control by the pilot and
Çaptain

A magnificent display of seamanship here.  I used to watch in awe when I was at the NSTS Vindicatrix.  A mile or two upstream at that time stood the remains of the river Severn rail bridge standing in testament to what can happen if you get the Sharpness handbrake turn wrong.  If you haven't got enough power to make headway against the incoming tide you are doomed.  Thankfully the Severn Pilots are so skilled at this manouver, but even so, a crew visiting for the first time would be seriously worried at what just happened when they see their ship going backwards past the port entrance.

Thank you Chris, your videos are always fascinating. Although as a Liverpool man,I've spent my life involved in shipping on the Mersey, I do enjoy watching the movement of ships around the country, and have always had a particular soft spot for short-sea vessels.

No real drama at all, but excellent seamanship in challenging conditions. Great captain and crew 👍🏼
Thanks for the show 🙏🏼

Great channel! Just discovered it!

Expertly filmed  and well done by the ships crew

Very nice to see this top-notch piloting; thanks.

Great video as always Chris thank you, the UK Government are currently paying farmers in the uk to grow wild flowers for wildlife while we import wheat from Moldova….. utter madness food security is a joke.

Thanks again Chris Witts for another great video. 👍

Not a bad bit of boat driving!

Hi chris, yet another brilliant film from you, must say the drone shots were really steady considering the wind conditions, well done sir. Thank you.

Beautiful masterly maneuvering of such a long vessel in confined water.

Lets see the tall masted sail ship!

That was some impressive navigation .

Wonderful filming, music and the most calming narration.  Its like watching a superbly choreographed ballet. Its strange just how many obstacles are in the way to get the vessel moored, from the narrow Severn channel, racing tides, wind, narrow entrance and marine basin.  Keep the videos coming.
