Tight security arrangements have been made ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)'s proposed protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Around 25,000 police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed across the city.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Friday announced a "final call to save democracy," urging its supporters to reach Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 10 to protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.

The Delhi Police, meanwhile, denied permission to the CJP to hold its proposed protest at Jantar Mantar, arguing that it could lead to “serious” law and order issues and citing alleged violations of conditions agreed upon for July demonstration.
