Can’t thank you enough for a such a detailed and technical overview of the unit. I pulled the trigger on one and will try it in my own diesel truck.

Thank you for the video - getting one for my semi over the Webesto as they want a CRAZY amount of money for replacement parts

Great video, thanks for sharing!

For the price of these "knock off" units, im money ahead in my business having 2 extra units on the shelf, ready to go. Instead of spending $1800-3000 per unit on the webasto's or equivalents.

We have them for our industrial machines from tub grinders, excavators and loaders... they work great

That’s identical to the last generation of Webasto

I run a couple webastos. Key is, I run mine everyday, use it to warm diesel up daily. Has worked flawless for 3
Years through Sask Winters

Great comparison! I really like all of your considerations outside of just reading the numbers like a lot of other reviews out there! Maybe try out their cab heaters and see how well they work?

Nice test!! I had a Espar unit that was a huge disappointment. I would for sure try the HLN.

I enjoyed your review Ovens Garage, this HLN appears to be a contender in the market. As you mentioned there are a few items that they do not include with the instal kit, the fuel filter, a longer exhaust tube, not too sure what else may not be included? Is the exhaust tube 24mm?
Glad to see this Canadian review. 0:06

Get your hands on the cheapest diesel coolant heaters and test those out please. I was almost going to buy one of those until I discovered the HLN. But I’m still curious about the really cheap ones.

any idea if the hln controllers can work with a webasto pump? i just have an on/off switch on one of my trucks. the wifi would be nice

Where the hose diameters the same or very close on both units? I swapping in this hln where I had a German heater before.

So how long does this take to heat up say like zero to 40 degrees. I tried listening I got kids screaming. Think the test was better than I was able to take in

Are both units rated for 100% duty cycle? I'm looking at this as a hydronic heater for an occupied space. Not simply bringing coolant up to temperature, so the unit may have to run continuously depending on thermal losses.

where did you get your heater from HLN, im in canada I do not want to ship from the usa as for tarrifs

Thank you very much for a concise comparison between the 2 brands. I've been looking through info and emailing the customer support of VVKB Apollo C1, JP-Parking Heater and HLN this last week. Thanks to your video I've decided on HLN which I was steering towards anyway for my 2011 Hyundai van in New Zealand. Hyundai fitted the Webasto Thermo Top C for 'Frigid Zones' under the battery tray. Hyundai part number 97260-4H000 if anyone is looking.

The test by 'Hangin with the Hursts' channel was also a huge help with his test on the same HLN model. His efficiency results were quite a bit lower than yours at 67% but were the highest of several he had done. Test results start here: https://youtu.be/YpbkyqjbRcs?si=FFD_a2jIWpO6EO64&t=860

Thanks again :)
