I just came across this story randomly while seeking ways to stop drinking. It has really touched me and also helped me. I resolved to follow his steps in quitting.

I wish I knew this much many years back when my father was struggling with alcoholism and eventually took the 'easy way out' as you mentioned but then again i was too young. Thank you for educating us and i wish you nothing but the best as you continue building yourself up away from the painful past.

Can you imagine all this was caused by a simple first bottle

I have listened to Chris before. He is so honest, alcoholism is a disease that many do not understand. You inspire me.

My two young men are just like you and I'm like your mom was to you. I hope they can listen to you, have forwarded this channel to them but I know they don't listen to such things, but I'm believing God that one day they'll be delivered

You are extremely brave to share and as you argued, it's your life. please see how your experiences of pain and deliverance can help many others. I applaud your family for being at your side.
Think of writing a book sometime. Your journey has just began and there is a huge purpose for your life. May God bless the work of your hands.
