I've just brought one of these from streffords in worcester couldn't believe how light it feels for a 450. Nathen was so helpful with the sale think as it was dropped to them I brought it.
James you are a fantastic salesman sir! That design on the radiator system re the extracting of evaporating coolant back into the radiators is a great detail, As a student of British military history, it was adapted by the the Desert Rats and the SAS on their vehicles for the same reason but the fact that GPX does that when most manufacturers do not even know about it, says a lot about the integrity of the guys behind the design.
Yes looks a lovely machine with excellent service intervals. I would change the oil every 1000 miles minimum even more in dusty/Sandy conditions. I do wonder why the handguards are not framed to the bar ends. But that's being picky on a really well priced bike. Really well priced.
Having owned a WR450F I'm split between the GPX300 and 450. It seems like the GPX has a more trail orientated engine than the Yam. Also I like the idea of the larger oil capacity. I also wonder if radiator guards are a good idea?
