Katsuya Suou, the character of all time. A cat-lover who’s allergic to cats. A baker, A sweetheart, a detective of the justice arcana. Of course Crystal would love him

Fun fact: Katsuya cameos on TV in Persona 3 and 5, though he's only recognizable if you already know him.

I love how Baofu is just a Yakuza character dropped into a Persona game.

This oddly feels like a perfect finale to your Persona journey, the stakes never felt higher, knowing that failure means that everything after Persona 2 will cease to exist.

Out of all the games I've seen, Eternal Punishment's ending hit me the most, I've had so many emotions running through me because I felt terrible for Tatsuya

End of the first game: "we are never going to forget our friendship"
Start of the second game: everyone immediately forgets lmao
imma sadge

And after seeing every Crystaahhl's Persona run, I've came to the conclusion:

- Tatsuya is the protag who suffered the most. He's literally the one who lost everything, even having it at the palm of his hand.

And so, Persona 2 ends in the most fitting way possible.

With motorcycle noises.

“You can’t just push your feelings out of a blimp you know”
That really got me for some reason 😂

The PS1 English voice acting for this game is pretty wonky in places ngl, but there are some gems. One of Katsuya's win lines is "Can you apply the penal code to demons?" which is just so on brand and one of Ulala's intro lines is "Don't underestimate me you f*cking bastards" (There is an actual censor beep censoring the line) making her the first persona character to say fuck in a voice line. Iconic.

58:15 Evil Katsuya be like: yeah, my brother's fine on his own, I don't gotta worry.

Tatsuya is such an underrated Character he just goes through a lot in these 2 games.

Being Tatsuya is Suffering

"That's why I love him. He's an idiot."

It's amazing how having an adult cast - instead of teenagers who get student discounts for lucky cats - doesn't actually compromise how endearing this cast is. The plot is insane, but rewatching I can still understand how unique this experience is.

This game is so iconic to my life.

In Innocent Sin, Tatsuya Suou and Sudou have similar names because Jun was trying to recreate the Masked Circle from his childhood as best he could. In Eternal Punishment, the three Tats' names are so similar because Daddy Sudou probably just named his son after himself. haha

Baofu really is best Boi. He's like a snappier, more justice-y Futaba who throws goddamn coins lmao.
I love him, he's my spirit animal.

I love that Katsuya gave baking tips to the lady cop that gave him a cake cause he used to want to be a patissier

the twitch chatter who said that what if persona 5 was about tatsuya reminded me of the fact a lot of persona 2 fans headcanon joker from p5 as the adopted son of tatsuya and jun which i find quite cute

If you choose Eriko instead of Nanjo, you get a lot more of an idea on what happens to Naoya, as well as his relationship with Elly.
It's really interesting to see how much of an effect Naoya had, he's such an underrated protag/character. (not even gonna mention the cat boss fight)
