I have seen this movie probably 30+ times. Why is it when Del admits his wife has been dead for 8 years, do I still feel a lump in my throat? Rip John Candy, he was a special one.

R.I.P John Candy🙏,he was a funny man

RIP John Candy
RIP John Hughes

My favorite John Candy movie! "I like me. My wife likes me. My customers like me. 'Cause I'm the real article. What you see is what you get" RIP

Fun fact this came out on this date today November 25th 1987🍿

The case that Del drags behind him throughout the movie represents his burden of grief, which he doesn’t share with anyone. When he finally tells Neil the truth about Marie, they are next seen carrying it together. It makes for one of the best endings in the history of cinema.

I still miss John Candy.

You are the ONE AND ONLY reactioner who watched to the VERY END and showed the ceo at his office still working on Thanksgiving day.  👏 👏 👏. GREAT WATCH!

"THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!!!"

This is THE Thanksgiving movie.  Funny 95 percent of the movie and then you realize how much you have to be Thankful for!

John Candy was such a good soul.

RIP John Candy. The end of this movie always makes me sob like a baby because it's too easy for me to imagine how I would feel to be in his shoes, missing my partner desperately, after their death. 💔

It's officially my husband's 50th birthday, now, at 12:07am, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I am so unbelievably thankful for him and everything we have created together.

My husband and I met in high school, in the choir. I was the new girl at school, again, for the 15th time, and he was the all-American golden boy, who'd lived in the same house his whole life. He was so kind and brilliant and goofy, and I was so used to people not being kind, I almost didn't believe he was being genuine with me. But, we fell in love instantly and hard and have been together 32 years, now, and married 25, since last June.

For the last 20 of those years, unfortunately, my husband has been suffering from/fighting against an insidious case of Lyme disease. We've spent a literal fortune in time, energy, and money on his care, with little relief. But, I would do it all again, in a heartbeat, if I learned all that time, effort, and money was the only thing keeping him with me, here, alive. He is my soulmate, and I would do anything for him. If I have my way, we'll have another 50 years together. He is my home.❤️🏡❤️

Interesting fact…Steve Martin said he and John Candy loved each other especially while they were filming this movie, and that last scene was actually longer, but some of it was cut, and while John Candy was performing it, Steve Martin said Candy made him openly weep it was so powerful.

Beautiful message at the end there Leo. So grateful for you ❤

Happy Thanksgiving Leo and Leo's people reading this ❤

I’ll never get through this movie w/o crying at the end. John Candy fiddling w/ his mittens has me ugly crying every time!

I just realizes the old man on the plane sleeping on Martin's shoulder is the same guy from home alone where Kevin's mom is trying to sell an old lady a few things to trade for her plane ticket😅 and the old guy says his wife has plenty of dangly ones at home lol

THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!!!!   🤣🤣🤣

"I like me. My wife likes me" hits me so hard every time.

Weird Science is essential viewing.
