The Engwe Zip might be one of the most interesting folding ebikes of 2026. Not only is it lightweight and compact, it can actually be charged using USB C which is something you almost never see on an electric bike. In this Engwe Zip review I take a closer look at how it rides, how small it really folds, and whether it can compete with premium options like a Brompton electric bike at a fraction of the price.

If you are looking for a compact folding ebike for commuting, travel, or everyday use, this could be one of the best budget electric bikes available right now. But is it actually a Brompton killer or just a clever idea? Let’s find out.
