Shirataka Town Small-Scale Hydroelectric Power Generation Experiment, 2026, Part 2
We tried it out in a small house.

Target Output: 300W, 24V
The waterway itself will not be left in the water, and it will be possible to return to its original state immediately.

Generator specifications: 100W-400W at 300rpm
Considering the water volume and turbine size, 300rpm seems to be the limit.
The current equipment cannot generate electricity; it seems necessary to re-select the generator motor.

Addendum:
2026.09.07 We experimented with the generator and forced it to rotate at 750rpm with a motor.

(750rpm is from the specifications of the motor used)
It produced 100W.
The current device only rotates at 300rpm to 350rpm, so the power generation is extremely low. I will continue to investigate tomorrow to see how many rotations are needed to produce 100W. I'm recording the video and will upload it later.

≒ 100W at 750rpm. It seems that to produce 300W, it needs to rotate at 750rpm or higher.

Addendum:
2026.09.09 I bought PVC pipes to give the water more force. I also ordered a 24V 50W 250rpm generator, as generators above 50W are expensive.
This one is 250rpm and I'm trusting it will produce 50W, so I'm trying it out.

Addendum:
2026.09.23 The generator I ordered arrived. The specifications are 250RPM 24V 50W.
I'll try replacing it tomorrow.

Since the shapes are quite different, I'll start by making the base (stack). I'd like to complete this by around the fourth die-cast model.

Update:
2026.09.24 I installed a 250RPM 24V 50W motor.

In conclusion, it didn't work. As many of you commented, the rotational torque is insufficient.

To increase the torque, I need to consider the diameter and width of the waterwheel, the amount of water, and the water drop.

I learned a lot, thank you everyone.

I'm taking a break from making the waterwheel for now.
