I loved this moment with Edward. He was so up and positive and about to explode his own legacy with the release of the second album. This is a rare, archival conversation with him and most probably the first time he ever talked about the VHII record. I know you Tonechasers will love this one!
I love this interview because Eddie says he named his solo "Eruption". So cool that we get to know that tidbit. And just to hear his voice makes me so happy! It's coming up on 5 years he's been gone in 9 days. Yesterday, was the day Mark Stone passed. Greg Renoff left a beautiful not on his FB from Mark's wife, Darlene. Thanks for posting Steve and Adam! Thanks for uploading…you might get Adam to change the title date from “1976” to “1979” as this interview was done in very early 1979 or very late December 1978.
Interesting he says he used a smaller amp to record VH2. Also, based on the lore I've read, this is the day before the NYE party at Ted's house, when Ted discovered, so to speak, 'Spanish Fly'. Then they decided to include it on the album. Ed doesn't mention it in the track list but does mention Mike's solo.
