I just found a 550-1 in my father-in-law’s basement. He told me I can have it. Thanks for the info on the rifle. I can’t WAIT to get out and shoot it! 😊

I have my grandmothers 550-1 which is set up the same as yours. It was always her favorite firearm to shoot.

I always loved my dads 550-1 i think the irons are quality, no scope necessary, but damn i want that speed loader

Had the EXACT same setup as a kid in the mid-late 50's. Don't have a clue what happened to it??? Can't believe they don't still make them. Great cheap fun target shooting!

You didnt mention this thing is capable of shooting 22 short, 22, and 22lr! Amazing feature. You get tons of capacity if you run shorts.

Sweet Remington!

Try some shorts in it, my kids and I love mine. Looking at a few more soon. The CB shorts are a riot!

Just inherited this rifle

I have one dated about 1965 that looks brand new. It is a flawlessly functioning gun. My dad had 2 of these and at ont time I had 3.

I need to get me a .22 tube speed loader. that is sweeter than sweet.

what scope base is that? I just picked up a 550 and love it. It's a great compliment to my other 22's from Ruger to smith to Anschutz.

I just got my father-in-laws 550-1 out of the closet and I hope it fires as well as yours. Thanks for the tutorial.

hi, what the best magnification scope for this rifle to shoot 300 yards?

I saw someone selling one of these for sale in the classified for 275. Considering picking it up. Don't have a .22 rifle. Wanna get one for small game.

Inherited one from my dad (Covid New Years) we used to shoot together when I was a kid. Looks okay but the extractor broke and I’m planning on getting it refurbished and scoped (nice speed loader wasn’t familiar with those, something more to get).

Plan on taking my wife and kids shooting with it once it’s done. Really like your setup and the 22 is the perfect starter round for those completely new to shooting.

Tengo una igualita Soy de Costa Rica y necesito la recamara  donde la puedo conseguir

I’m a little confused as far as ammo. I didn’t know much about the rifle, but I bought it with about 5 min of research. I’m reading that this rifle shouldn’t fire high velocity ammo. Is it true that I should only fire standard velocity ammo, around 1000-1200FPS? Thank you,

How much money do you spend in a weapon like that?

Dont the speed loader make spending time enjoying  shooting and not reloading

Very nice rifle! I have one!  I completely disassemble mine a few years ago. For a through cleaning. Wasn't that bad. I just wanted to see if I could. :) If you ever do that. Be sure and watch a video on how. Here on UTube. Not easy. But doable. I also refinished the stock. Lost its luster over the years. (Your stock looks amazing)!  Blueing still very good. I wouldn't take anything for it. Shoots sweet, and like yours very accurate!!
