allwinner is mainlining its SoCs but it will take quite a long road to reach mainline kernel.

I feel like this is the greatest downside of the Allwinner A733, the hardware specs itself is very strong, but the software on all A733 boards out there is still very weak

I just purchased one of these to upgrade my pi-top v3. the size and connections are close enough to the raspberry pi 3 b+ that I was able to make it fit with a little coaxing. I had to bend the gpio pins very slightly for the paddle connector to fit but my pi-top is a beast now. I picked the 6GB ram model.

I purchased this unit, and there is no video output to the monitor across all Linux distributions except Ubuntu Desktop—very strange. Have you noticed similar behavior?

did you do test it is real DDR5?

I fixed A733 zero copy hardware encoding/decoding. Now @ 8-12% cpu with 1080 60fps

Nice vidéo, thanks

Which microcontroller should I use to build a self driving car with multiple 4K cameras? I wanted to use something from orange pi so I am deciding between orange pi 5 plus and orange pi 6 plus

Yeah as of today its closer to 400.00 Canadian. Might as well by the whole pc or laptop i mean it has nothing...and its soooo expensive.

If you’d added another €15, you could have bought the Radxa Dragon Q6A with 8GB of RAM

I bought one. Sadly they don't have an Armbian release for it. Make sure you change your password right after you boot it up, and you need to install to SD Card then use the sudo orangepi-config command to update the firmware then move it to NVMe. The NPU on it can run LLM.
