But did anyone ever find my Oakley sunglasses I bought myself with all my lawn mowing money in 1996?!?!? NO!

The writers constantly trying to find new ways to talk about the Antikythera Mechanism. Simon being forced to talk about it.

Poor Naia.. Somebody was missing her. Imagine your daughter or mother going out to fetch water and never coming back. They never found her, or they knew she fell in that hole and died and couldn’t retrieve her. So sad. I hope she did died quickly like they suspect and didn’t lay there suffering.

20:36 If you ever find something organic (not a rock) underwater, don't bring it up until you can enclose it in a water tight container with the water it is currently in!

Something about Nia's life intimately breaks my heart. I empathize with the pain she must've suffered.

Also how the FUCK did I go to college for anthropology and never learn til now that we've discovered an ACTUAL PREHISTORY BRAIN????

Just so you know, its been proven that the crossing over the beiring land bridge over the last ice age is the second migration of humans into the Americas. Footprints in the salt flats place humans in new Mexico 23000 years ago already

Cave diving has to be top 2 craziest hobbies only second to BASE jumping in a wingsuit.

25:07 I would never have guessed that “this would kill a Victorian child” was a universal human instinct

What about
"Lola" is a 5,700-year-old Neolithic female whose entire genome was sequenced from a piece of chewed birch pitch found in Syltholm, Denmark.

Some weren't underwater when they were lived in

Simon's every syllable is very expressive. He has so many levels, and you understand each one: Amused, sarcastic, shocked, awed, officious, scientific, clinical, or just describing with inflection the word that he's saying.

No matter how inviting and warm I really wouldn’t bathe in what is essentially a giant cauldron of human soup.

Why do the French love scuba diving so much? It’s so intense that it’s creepy

@janereeves7635 8 months ago

There may be other mistakes, but I really noticed at the end , the words used were to the effect: very little is left underwater that is UNexplored.
I frequently watch your videos and I am positively impressed. Thank you!

Never dive alone. Never enter a space less than double your size.

That birch starch is also known as xylitol and is still very much used in chewing gum

Nice one.
One note: "anti-" does not mean "not" - it means "opposite". Greek geographical names starting "Anti-" mean that they're opposite of what comes after Anti- (for example riverside settlements being opposite of other settlements at the other bank of the river). Antikythera means "Opposite of Kythera".
