I am a loner by nature and I am very happy. I am now 50. Had a great social life up until about 30. Society has changed, and people have become too toxic, imo.

I'm 100% with you man. People have gotten really weird, Nobody can be trusted. Ive always been a loner, I like it that way.

I'm with you dude. I wasn't prepared for this stage of my life. It's maddening how lonely it gets. Feeling alone in a room full of people is the worst.

I went through similar stuff, people are just fucking weird these days, so hard to trust anyone.

The rise of loneliness in men is real.

I really feel you bro

I’m 74. My comments, for what they are worth: you’re handsome, young, healthy, clean, thoughtful, personable and have a job. You are actually in the top few percentage points of people as far as advantages or endowments are concerned.  (About 95% of people you pass in the street have less than you do.) So believe in yourself. You’ve got a lot to offer ( to others). Whatever you do, never touch heroine again and keep your job (or quit only to take a better one).  Write a note for your fridge magnet YOU HAVE THE MEANS. This should remind you that it is within your power to do anything you wish, to make your life better or happier. I wish you good fortune.

Forget having friends for the sake of it, they aren't real.

If this Chad has no friends, then we're all screwed, guys.

Friends go away once you stop giving them things

This sounds bad but I have no friends because I don’t like people! Being comfortable with your own company is a great strength, I feel no loneliness!

I’m 32 and still going thru this “finding friends” thing.  All I can say is that you’re not alone. Thanks for putting this out, a lot of us needed it. I hope we all find the right community and people to be around.

I feel you, Finding it hard to find friends who are loyal, fair and not full of crap

Over a decade of no friends n no family. I feel you ❤️

Is that the real life HERCULES?!?!

Better to be alone than to have fake people that borrow money and never return things.

This is sooo honest … no edits whatsoever. You’re not alone brother society is alienating us by the minute

To be honest, I had that moment too, I felt so alone, I thought that I needed some friends to be around, but after a lot of research I realized that I wasn't alone actually, I was looking for people to feel better, I understood that in reality I was looking for finding myself, and I didn't love my body, myself and I had problems with dad from my children that makes me feel I wanted to be loved. I forgive my father because he has the right to make mistakes. Now, I am loving more myself and I do my routine, and more connected to God, and I see that people come to my life like that by magic, I enjoy the moment I see someone or talk to, an when he or she leaves I don't feel empty anymore. I remember from a book written " treat people as cats, enjoy the moment when they are around and let them go wherever they want to go "

I closed myself in my shell and even developed a social phobia because of the humiliations of my adolescence. I was afraid to walk on the street. Since then, it's hard for me to open up to people. Bullying leaves wounds in the soul for life and if you have been humiliated, you no longer want to deal with people. It's hard, but I'm trying to be okay somehow. I'm not a loner, the wickedness of people made me one. 🙏🏻

You don't need friends. Friends need you. Just ignore them.

I'm really proud of you for making it through your addiction, stay strong - I'm a 54 year old lady from Sydney Australia with kids your age.. finding friends is difficult at any age but it's definitely harder to do these days. I wish you the best mate xx
