To even hear Louie admit what decade of his life he is in was something else. Great edit.

Digging through the splinters of his old ramp felt metaphoric and deep

Louis always made skateboarding look fun and was always a favourite of mine. This was a great feature.

This is like revisiting the concrete slab you first learned to skate at years later and seeing the exact same crack you used to stick your back wheels in when first learning to ollie, same as it ever was while everything else in your life has changed

They used to sell us gear out of that house... and often enough felt sorry for us and would trade us for burritos or beer. :eyes-purple-crying:

Louie is still my favorite skater. I also feel the whole lost spots thing. I’ve been revisiting spots from when I was 14, I’m 25 now, and they’re disappearing. I went to school and have a job in what I studied but I’m still chasing that child joy. I’ve also been riding a bike in search of new spots.

So Louie got that car when I turn 16 in the 80s? How old is this dude really? He hasn't aged a bit. I met him at skate camp in 99 and I thought he was a teenager. What's really going on?
