I don't know if anyone is gonna read this but I feel like writing.

So there's basically this guy (let's say J and he is my brother's bestie) and I only thought of him as a friend but then one day his friend told me that J "loves me" right in front of J. J was trying to shut his friend's mouth(it was funny now I think about it) and  I had no idea how to react cuz back then I knew nothing about all love stuff, I just walked away, literally. FYI: We were in third grade when this happened. Years went by and when I was in fifth grade and I started liking him..a lot, crazy lot. It wasn't a crush, I was falling in love. We were like frenemies who bickered with each other, insulted each other, and always got too close to each other's personal space. That was our dynamic before. Skipping a few years, I met him after a long time when we were in ninth grade after the pandemic. We barely talk now, it's awkward around him and I really really wish we could talk like we used to. When we do talk, we have these little "moments" and sometimes I just wanna scream at his face saying " DUDE, CAN'T YOU SEE HOW I LOOK AT YOU?!"

I force myself to hate him but I can't, I just can't.

I HATE THE FACT HE'S ALWAYS AROUND ME BECAUSE MY BROTHER AND HIM HAVE BEEN SO CLOSE FOR LIKE 8 YEARS AND THEY STILL ARE. OUR FAMILIES ARE REALLY CLOSE TOO. HE'LL BE AROUND EVEN IF IT BREAKS MY HEART TO SEE HIM CUZ I KNOW I CAN'T GET OVER HIM.

Edit: I've moved on now, I think it's normal as a teenager to fall in love and then let go of those feelings. Him and I started getting close these past few months. He's like an unpaid therapist to me and I love him for being there for me when I need someone to talk to. I realised that it's so much better if him and I just remain as friends. He'll always be special to me.
