Zercher's rule. To me they've always felt like the most 'athletic' squat, hammering quads, glutes, core and midback in a great balance.

i see zercher, i click.

i agree with your takes. id add that they also hit the mid/upper back in a unique way. a common critique I hear is that it doesn't hit the quads as much. I think that is just a utility of it. having movements that stress the body differently is a good thing. seems obvious!

Can you do a video comparing the SKLZ and OVR speed gates?

One session:
1.Overhead
2.Front
3.Back
4.Zercher

Zercher box squats is probably the best exercise for the traps

Nice Video.  Do you ever do Zercher Deadlifts from the floor?

Just replaced front squats with zercher's in hoss 2.0, its the most comfortable squat variation I've done.

Another banger

Just started implementing zerchers into my training

Great video. I liked that comment and was looking forward to hearing your thoughts. I started using zercher variations for more sport specificity (grappling) and am happy to say that I've seen good results. Highly recommend zercher unilateral movements.

Zerchers are great. Your earlier video is what got me into them and made me not quite fall in love with squatting again, but at least enjoy it.

i thought it would be good for me as im 6,3f long limbed, the weights was good i got to 3x5 275, but at that point i decided to stop doing them coz i got strong left biceps low part tendon pain and right groin tendon pain i couldnt run or lunge. It took six month to total rehab. I was doing full range atg zerchs but this happend....

2:05 100%. The DOMS is brutal if you go hard and you're not quite use to the movement. As in, almost like laughing with a cracked rib brutal.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Do you have any experience with sandbag lifts?

I do zercher squats and love them, is it worth buying and adding in SSB squats to my program? I’ve never done SSB squats so I don’t know what the difference feels like. I also can’t get into a front rack position.

If somebody does have the mobility to perform a front squat well, do you still personally prefer the zercher? I feel like many people still get into poor positions comparatively in the zercher than the front squat.

and you can squat without worrying about your locs or long hair getting snagged
