The zip tie can go in any direction that makes since for securing the comb. All are made differently. If there’s a comb in the vertical side you put the zip tie going horizontal and vice versa.  I’ve even seen Moms add additional zip ties once it’s secured. They put the zip tie through the bottom of the bun and secure it through the net so it’s not seen.

And no worries everyone, she is not tender headed nor does this cause any more discomfort than sewing it in the traditional way. She does find the comments comical though lol

This...is disgraceful !! the little girl MUST be in extreme discomfort if not actual PHYSICAL PAIN..and for what..a ridiculous rule of the dancing world that says..You HAVE to have your hair a certain way..!!
