Another 100 years and we might almost be at 1960s Japanese level

As others have said, the scary purple teabag with legs is "Miles"

Frankly, I've read my kids stories where a character like this was the villain. A scary thing designed to scare off under-fives from EMR stations.

A good, balanced review. Thanks for that 👍

I don't understand the issue with seats in the UK nowadays. I recently made a trip from Lyon to Newark and that involved a section on a OUIGO low-cost TGV. Perfectly comfortable. Then I did the section on an Azuma. Shock to the system! Not only rock hard but also felt like there was some kind of metal bar digging into my thighs. All that said, I much prefer the front end design of this class compared to the other 800s.

I think the new IET interior by EMR is spot on, how the IETs should have been introduced in 2017, the screens look so much better too.

Amazing that the choice of hard seats made it all the way to being installed. Nobody noticed the elephant in the room?

Cudos to you that you've added the traveling date on the video and that it was released in just 1 day! 👏

Train seating seems to be regressing to the comfort of the wooden tram style seats of yesteryear

Great trip. Yeah what a fast video, taking and uploading at the same day like your trip. Another new Train in UK, but still based on 800 class.

It's nice that in the UK there are some new trains being introduced!

I've been on a few, they look slick but gosh I dread sitting in them for more than an hour. Good to see improvements! Wish these would replace the other 800s!
