Why Most Overwatch Players Never Improve

The WatchOver

Here is my powerpoint presentation explaining exactly why most Overwatch players never improve or even rank up. I personally can suffer from auto piloting sometimes and always need to lock in. I hope some or all of this can help you rank up, because it definitely helped me!

I gotta stop shooting the tank, I gotta stop shooting the tank, I gotta stop shooting the tank…..you know, that mauga MIGHT die if I focus fire on his head, right?

The biggest thing stopping me from climbing is probably the fact that I have never played a ranked match before

Having a job and a family is a big issue that needs to be added to the list

Are you telling me simply spamming as Junkrat in the general direction of the enemy won't get me out of Plat?

Forgot a point, being a solo queue support with no friends.

The phenomenon of don't shoot the unkillable tank and the enemy team focus firing my tank and instantly killing me

Worst part about all of these tips is the fact that I had to learn all of them before being able to actually recognise them as advice to be followed

12:05 you can enable a notification sound whenever a teammate or/and enemy dies. Helps me alot

4:35 I've no problem with getting downranked. I have a massive problem with getting the same reduction no matter how close the games were. I don't get angry. I get demotivated. Especially with Stadium Competitive queues being crap half of the time, so I can't get back up.

9:13 "You'll see that you don't die to random chance" except it's an enemy hanzo just lobbing redwoods down hallways that wrap around corners for fun.

12:30 To this point, turn on the audio notifications for kills and deaths. IDK why it is off by default, but it is practically throwing to not have that audio setting on. You should never be surprised by being the last one alive if you suddenly heard 4 teammate death notifications run by your ears.
