Can you run your mids AND tweeters together on the same amplifier?

Yes and in this video I show you exactly how I wired a pair of PRV 6MR420-4 BULLET midrange speakers and a pair of TW500Ti-4 titanium tweeters together on one amplifier.

This video is also my first look at the new PRV 6MR420-4 BULLET and the 6MR420 + TW500Ti bundle.

For this setup:

2x 4-ohm 6MR420 mids are wired in parallel = 2 ohms

2x 4-ohm TW500Ti tweeters are wired in series = 8 ohms

Those two branches are then wired in parallel for an approximate 1.6-ohm nominal load.

Using a simple 1,000-watt example, roughly 80% of the power is distributed to the midrange branch and 20% to the tweeter branch approximately 400 watts per mid and 100 watts per tweeter under the simplified nominal impedance calculation.

I break down why the power divides that way, why this wiring arrangement makes sense for this combination, and what you need to understand before trying it yourself.

Then we turn the little chuchero up and see what the new PRV combination can actually do.

This is not a substitute for proper crossover protection. Speaker impedance varies with frequency, and tweeters still need appropriate filtering.
