The footage and most of the pictures shown in this video have little or nothing to do with what the narrator is saying.

I would like to know where a Rolls Royce Merline engine fits into this narrative.

At the start of this presentation the voice says "twin high-speed Maybach diesel engines spinning at 1580 revolutions per minute" while the image of an engine clearly labelled "Rolls Royce" is shown.

The diesel-electric is more flexible; it can be used with batteries (via a battery tender with its own traction motors) and regenerative braking, if or when that ever happens.  Hydraulic systems cannot and will never do that.

The thumbnail doesn't look anything like the S.P. diesel hydraulics. Another "don't recommend channel". Oh wait: this is another one of those garbage videos that only appears once, then it's gone. Then the host continues making crappy videos using another name.
