It may just be me but it seems the old weather people were much more accurate than the ones of today.

Spokane, Washington area. This is spot on 100% accurate.

My friend watched how many apples fell from his apple tree

You are the best.. thank you!

EE Brown my grandfather, farmer, blacksmith, Michael Newberry, farmer, Circuit rider Methodist Civil War vet, great grand father, they knew this in Alton MO, Ozarks, I love this, info! Thanks very much, the info is being restored to me!

I watch the squirrels, when the cardinals leave, and when I hear the ducks flying farther south if they come past me in August going to be very cold where I am at in Texas , the ants tell me , this year no squirrel scurrying in frantic collecting, ants are mild, haven’t heard ducks come past me , so mild winter. Hope we get rain been dry.

I was raised in Los Angeles.  My Dad would go out on the back porch, look up at the clouds/sky, tell us what the weather would be like.  He told us he learned from Native Americans how to read the skies.  He was exact 97% of the time.  We'd catch the news to find they were wrong a great many of the time.  So like and appreciate your channel Silas.  Thank you for sharing with not.  I use and share a great many things I have learned from you.  ;-)

Yep

Ok. Now we know it’s going to be a tough winter. So what? When is the storm? How long will it last? How much snow? How cold? It’s winter. Always prepare for the worst.

I'm only half way thru and I don't know yet if he mentions it, but my ex mother in law was a farmer. She always used to say winter fog freezes a hog.  I know that to be true more times than not.

My husband laughed at me when I told him I was reading another health book. Then he saw me cancel three supplement subscriptions after finishing the book Rogue Remedies by Ruth Vance. Hes not laughing anymore.

A nun told us the woolly bear one!

The system wants you to depend on them telling you the weather so they can be wrong and you end up paying for a funeral,  hospital or house. They make a lot of money off of it

Nost of the fotecastingby nature does not fit to where I live now, central Utah. I live in what you could call a village. Quite small.  No musk rats, squirrel, persimmon,  nut trees. The harvester ants are building a good size mound this year. Virtually nothing last year and we had no snow to speak of, will see what happens this winter. Maybe the ant stings is my payment for the forecast. My husky has a heavy coat . Have only recently adopted him so will need to watch and learn his coa. With past dogs I have read the coats.  I do watch the sky. I know the clouds, that is more immediate information. Mote, I am78,  I grew up in western Pennsylvania.and learned a lot from my grandfather. But central Utah is different than western Pennsylvania.

If your animals fur up heavy watch the weather, groups if birds flocking together on the wire lines,” pop said .. birds of a feather flock together there’s a change in the weather”, he was rarely wrong!
Just sayin😊

I saw a caterpillar that was completely black today in northeast Ohio. I don't remember ever seeing a full black one and I'm 70 years old. My father born 1906 had to tell us the things to watch. I hope that's not going to come true. Brrr.

Reading these signs didn't go away because of the weather bureau, they went away because 90% of today's population doesn't care about the weather past next weekend
