This video was recommended to me on July 4th weekend, 2018. It was how I discovered her band. I have been obsessed with The Warning ever since!

At 10, she already had impressive power, feel and groove. She was doing things like crashing on the up stroke, muting her cymbals and altering dynamics like a 20 year veteran of the instrument. In my opinion, we were seeing something more than a prodigy. We were seeing a generational talent starting to bloom. There are many child musicians on the internet that fizzle out, or find other interests. Pau turned out to be a once in a lifetime musician that is becoming a legendary figure in music (Forbes has already named her to be one of the 100 most powerful women in Mexico!).

This little girl was an inspiration to her generation.
A prodigie. Today she's leading the resurrection of rock around the world.
And we are glad to watch her band call an entire new generation rock bands to the first line of music. RIP autotune long live to the rockers.

Pau is my pint-sized hero. Since I discovered The Warning last year, my music has improved dramatically. Best rock trio since Rush, imho ❤

The foot you saw was her mothers. Here is that backstory. When they did this video recording Pau played the performance through flawlessly only to find that the video camera did not record properly. She was so upset that her mother had to calm her down. In the end Mony (her mom) told her to just play it again perfectly and sat there to cheer her on while she did it.

This was the 2nd take. The 1st one had to be ditched when they found out that a camera stopped recording. Little Pau burst into tears inconsolably. Her mother had to calm her down. We saw Mony's feet in the mirror & later when you noticed it. She was right in front of her daughter egging her on. So basically within a span of an hour a 10 year old girl played a complicated Cobus version twice!!!
That is why Pau clapped her hands with glee & gave the rock horn sign with her tiny fingers at the end of the clip.
FYI Cobus is a South African drummer who is famous for making technically enhanced covers of popular songs.

Just Pau doing Pau things.
Btw, shout out to Beto Ramos, her drum teacher and sometimes member of the crew! If you see Lalo (The Warning's sound engineer) Beto, and Iban (videographer) together, something huge is happening.

Thanks for your reaction and commentary.

At the very end, because she was so thrilled at completing it, Pau gives the metal salute and then claps excitedly.

In 2014, a work colleague (he's a drummer, I am not) told me to check out YouTube drummer Cobus. After watching a few of his videos, this one popped up in my feed. I watched purely out of curiosity, then very impressed, clicked on the channel. The last video posted was the "Enter Sandman" cover, I have been following The Warning ever since. Cool reaction, thanks very much.

In this video she has already been playing drums for 4 years, with a teacher and with a lot of practice. It still remains impressive.

She started playing at 6, not 10. This video shows 4 years of hard work. Two years later they would record their infamous Enter Sandman cover and the rest is history.

The physical strength to hit like that at ten hooked me from the first time I saw young Pau.

Pau is my spirit animal. 🤣🦈

This was second take only because there was a problem with the camera. She was very upset it didn't recorded and Monie (mom) talked her in to doing it again, you can see her foot because she's there for support. And of course Pau nailed it again.
6 years after this Pau was invited to be a judge on the drum competition Hit Like A Girl. The exhibition drum duet she did with previous year winner Faith Benson is worth checking out for sure.

I’m almost 63 and just discovered Pau and her sisters a few weeks ago. A commenter on a F.A.T. Betty video compared them to the earlier days of The Warning. I googled TW and now I’m plummeting down the rabbit hole. I’m still looking for the local TWA recruiting office, but you can consider me signed up NOW. These girls are amazing and so very talented. They are well on their way, and here’s to a long and incredible career. Rush and all my other favorite bands are aging (aren't we all?) and I've been looking for a new favorite power trio. I think I've found them. I do love all three of these girls, but I’m a ‘wanna-be, but never played’ drummer, so Pau is just a teeny bit more favorite. VIVA Paulina and VIVA The Warning!! ⚡⚠⚡
