Love listening to these games, especially those that take place in New York. I lost my dad almost two years ago, and these games take me back to when he was a kid (and Yankees fan), when he lived in NYC, and to ALL the baseball stories he raised me on.

Always loved hearing the melodic voices  of Mel and ‘Red’ describing the lyrics of the latest Major League Baseball adventure. They both were verbal magic to the ears! Nothing in any resemblance today. to be certain!!! Long live these precious pieces of time gone by!!!

Thousands of students in all five boroughs of NYC were listening to the radio in their classrooms along with their teachers and professors. The girls were just as engrossed in the game as the boys, especially in Brooklyn

Better baseball and better announcers than today

"You mad, Red?"

No fourth inning. Instead, it repeats the third.

Awesome!  Ty!!

Great uploads! Just wanted to let you know that the 4th inning is missing here.  Instead, the bottom the 2nd inning and the 3rd are repeated from 56:00 to 1:15:00, when the 5th inning begins.  The game ends at 2:44:48, then the bottom of the 7th, 8th & 9th innings are repeated.

I am so glad all these games are posted been going through them and will be a great way to get over the winter months with no baseball

The first walk off home run in World Series history was hit in this game by Tommy Henrich at 2:37:21.

Do you have any games of the 1947 World Series?
