I was NOT ready for these Netherlands TikToks! 🇳🇱😂

Today I'm reacting to a collection of TikToks showcasing different sides of the Netherlands — from *Dutch culture and surprising culture shocks* to beautiful places to visit and interesting moments from Dutch history.

Some of these clips showed things I already knew about the Netherlands, while others genuinely surprised me. From everyday Dutch life to incredible landscapes and historical facts, this was a fun way to discover a different side of the country.

🇳🇱 The Netherlands has so much more to offer than canals, bicycles and Amsterdam, and these TikToks definitely proved it!

- The percentages for the population groups are quite accurate here; everything is strictly tracked.
- i wouldnt try saying the stuff about sitting on your lap; unless you want to be slapped in your face.....
(and about sweden: the prices of food, alcohol and clothes are higher, but housing (in the countryside) and fuel are cheaper overthere)

Following the Fall of Antwerp in 1585, thousands of merchants, artisans, and intellectuals from Antwerp (Belgium) fled to Amsterdam, ushering in the city's Golden Age. Amsterdam grew rapidly in the early seventeenth century; immigrants from Antwerp—then part of the Southern Netherlands—helped establish the VOC (Dutch East India Company). This injection of capital laid the foundation for Amsterdam's Golden Age. Just like the french fries...thanks to Belgium 🤣🤣🤣
