Thank you so much for reacting to Swedish ABBA music ❤. This little country has more musical hits than most other, bigger countries. I grew up there, and we came together and sang and sang in each other homes. We also have "Allsång på Skansen" ("Sing-along at Skansen"):
This is one of Sweden's most beloved and iconic summer traditions. Held at the Skansen Open-Air Museum on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm, it is a massive live musical event that is broadcast live every summer across the country.

The defining feature of the show is that the audience is the main choir. Thousands of people gather in front of the Solliden stage, and millions more watch from home on the public broadcaster, SVT.
The host and guest artists lead the crowd in singing classic, well-known Swedish summer anthems, pop hits, and folk songs. People in the audience are given booklet guides with the lyrics so everyone can sing together in harmony. We are a music loving country!

The 70s and 80s. Best time ever without mobile phones, internet and social media. Everything analog instead of digital. Analgue Film Photography, LP, Music cassette, telephone box, mechanical hand-wound watch, CD, Walkman, landline telephone, typewriter, and the perfect 80s music.

I’m a seven year old watching my twin baby sitters who are literally only fours older than I having so much fun to this. All these years later, that innocence and joy remains in memories and I’m thankful.

The best pop song ever!! ❤All four members of ABBA—Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad—received the prestigious Royal Order of Vasa Commander of First class from King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden. The ceremony took place on May 31, 2024, at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, honoring their "very outstanding efforts in Swedish and international music life."

You said "the simplicity"....Well actually, deceptively simple but reaaaally complicated.Artists who tried to cover ABBA confirmed their surprise when they deconstructed their vocals/hiden multilayers and the skillful tight detailed backing track.

Hello! From Abba Country Sweden! Go for it, Millie! Dance with me-to Dancing Queen!

A classic that has survived 50 years and still gets people moving today. Blessed to have grown up with this music. Thank you for sharing with everyone and especially us Boomers!

A song that will live forever, like your reaction 😀

This is what MVs were like in the 1970s (pre-MTV days)

Great song by ABBA, from 1976.  Fifty years ago !  Thanks for sharing dear Millie.

I remember this song for one reason. My girlfriend's grandmother bought me the 45rpm single for Christmas: I'm a Led Zep fan, but I smiled and thanked her, she was so sweet..

Those girls voices blend together for a very distinctive sound, immediately identifiable!  I love em!

BEST ⭐ POP ⭐ BAND ⭐ EVER 😍!!!
Take care, Millie ✌️
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗🤓👌

Very nice moves there, Millie. 🙂 Keep it coming.

I know we had great music, but I think growing up with all of it, there was too much great music to listen to, we did not really appreciate it as much as now and we think back on how much we took it for granted! Great that all young people can play catch up and listen to it all now, thanks to YouTube!!

We need more ABBA on this Channel 😊

#1 ANGELIC harmonies!!  #2 FANTASTIC piano!  #3 HEAVENLY Strings!!!

Not reachable 24/7. What a relief. And yet we had more social contacts and friends than today. It was harder to keep in touch with another. But we did it anyway. With more effort and even more commitment.

ABBA fan here since 1976, I was 15 years old (yes, I'm old!) You should react to other ABBA hits, they have such a large catalog (over 150 songs.) Mamma Mia, SOS, Take a chance on me, Knowing me knowing you, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Waterloo, etc etc.

During the 70s most of my contemporaries were metalheads or heavily into progressive stuff like Tull/Yes/Crimson, but they would all bop to ABBA - there's no denying quality.
