A 3rd thing also happened: we learned that Oscar is a freaking trail dog!

You should buy a super used frame and do an entire parts bin build.

Then give it to a teenager who will ride the hell out of it.

10:54 righteous pup-drifting. 10:57 Cases the log with his hind legs. 11:03 A momentary hesitation, but Oscar recovers his composure, makes the correct judgement call, and opts for the novice route. What a boss.

This is wild, I literally worked for framed for like 5 years never thought I'd see one of those bikes on the channel

Those hairs are actually known as "Vent Spews" They allow gas to escape during the vulcanization process in making the tires. While rubber is being injected or pressed into the mold, there is a risk of air bubbles forming between the rubber and the mold, which can prevent the rubber from getting in all the intricate patterns of the mold, thus producing a malformed tire.

The rubber tire "whiskers" are primarily for night riding. The additional sensory input gives the rider the ability to avoid trees and other dangerous obstacles due early warning and detection. Obviously, you would need to buy the additional Bluetooth integration between the tire sensors and the skin on your neck and face.

It turns out that those handlebars are designed to keep a proprietary grip from rotating. You learn something new every day!

Anybody else noticed that Oscar is a really good trail dog? :D

“ so the way this wrench got like this was that I went up to it and I just started chewing on it uncontrollably and I put it between both my hands and just… went to town on it.” That got me. 😂

I never knew Oscar was such a good trail pup

Oscar reminds me of the video where seth pulled a broom behind his bike to make Drama chase him 🤣🤣

@5:25 Seth runs into a "snag" because he assumed the original cassette would be a SRAM cassette. That cassette actually may well be a SRAM cassette , but it doesn't really matter - all Shimano and SRAM 10 speed cassettes fit to the Hyperglide ("Shimano-style") freehub standard. I'm guessing he was expecting to find an XD freehub body underneath, but I don't think any 10 speed system ever used these.

At 11-speed, freehub standards began to diverge more between the two brands, but even some of SRAM's lower-end lines still fit to HG freehubs. Box Components was another brand still designing for the HG hubs.

Seth in 5 years welcome to Berm Mountain this is going to be a lot of work and I have never built a chair lift before but it’s going to be fun

@valentinobv 2 years ago

As small as it is, the dog has an amazing speed...almost leep up with you :)). Nice video, man!

Ah yes, the classic “why don’t you use a pipe cutter” guy. 😂

Oscar being a trail dog is the best thing I've seen all day!

@MTB_Rider_96 5 years ago

Thanks for the Minnesota plug - Yeah, we seem to add 2 or 3 new MTB trails per year up here. It really is a great state for MTB bikers.

@KDog2264 5 years ago

You tried to get Drama(RIP) to be a trail dog, but Oscar seems to be a natural he looked like he was having fun chasing you through the trail

"Framed Bikes" is actually owned by a board shop called "the House" in St. Paul MN. I'm actually one of the techs who works on and assembles these. Awesome to see one here.
