To put more perspective on how much of a genius John Carpenter is, the awful movie 'Raise The Titanic' released just a year earlier, was made on a budget of 35 million. Carpenter managed to make a far superior movie that's stood the test of time, for 30 million less.
Wow a 5 million dollar budget, shit looks good lol I’m sure they went over it but that’s a damn small starting budget for such an atmospheric sci-fi movie
Love seeing my hometown St. Louis when watching this, some of which still looks much the same today. Kurt has often said Snake was his favorite role. Look for the shout out to "PTs Centerville" during end credits - it's a local strip club! Don't see that very often. Must have been a fun production.
