Lovely kit, great work

Repaired and drove Stallys in early 70’s as a REME mechanic. Plus my workshop operated six Stallys as amphibious fitters vehicles in support of an amphibious RE regiment in the late 70’s. Except for maintenance we had no issues with them at all. May I suggest when painting camo that the corners of vehicles were generally hidden by the black paint. That’s how it was done mostly.

Outstanding result with the exhaust guard mate, well done. Airfix please note!

Windup was often got rid of by bumping along kerbs.

We had them when i was in the army, 1986. Since they spent most of the time breaking down, they did not get used a lot (Not really designed for day to day use) and if we were going anywhere for training they had to be taken by tank transporters. Also they were not allowed to be taken on water, since they would more then likely sink. One time a lad stole one and headed of to Holland and crashed through a checkpoint they did fire on the vehicle, they later found the vehicle abandon and the lad sleeping in a ditch. He said he did not remember the event. We were based in Duisburg at the time - 3ADTR

A project for after market would be a Stalwart of the The Bangkok airport as a red rescue vehicle

I've driven one of these at an off-road day years ago at Thruxton- this model brings it all back. They used to build them at the Alvis 15 minutes walk from my childhood home, always exciting when they drove one out ..that exhaust note! Very nice work, the kit  looks very authentic

Actually driven one on a military experience day.  Absolutely brilliant!

Impressive build. I like the weathering you've applied because it really shows off how well detailed this model is out of the box.

If I turned out a part like that exhaust guard, I'd be 100% satisfied.

The kits are a basic CANVAS for model s too have a Great replica of the real thing. The majority of people are still very happy with it out of the box...
If you want to improve it then it's your choice. Remember that the cost of living is Through the Roof....
I have found your input interesting how you did your own thing...l have a few joints that need filling on the cab. I can't say that I am happy, but l have learnt a lot more about model making with this Kit.  I'm in my 60th year of building kits...

Really nice build love the weathering

I drove both marks of the Stalwart when I was in the Army but, mainly the Arty Limber version great to drive but, a nightmare to service . I have noticed that there is no white lines on the hubs on the painting guide . The white lines helped to show the driver of you had wind up in the wheel station . Having just got my hands on the kit I'm going to get the convension add ons on before I start it . A cracking video on the Stollie build

That panel at the front was covering the fuel tank.

Beautifully built and finished, Neil, as expected and great to watch.
You've created something very special.
Well done. 👍

Great subject.

Excellent no nonsense positive build of this new Airfix kit, I'm onto my 4th. It does have little issues but all can be dealt with and now Inside The Armour have done a few update sets.

That's an awesome build mate, well done. The exhaust cover is spot on!.

What a Fantastic Build of a superb subject,  Amazing finish and weathering, Excellent and thanks for sharing :)
