I'm diving into all of this. My mum had a bad stroke 6 months ago resulting in very limited mobility in her right side affecting her muscles that help her with speech and the aphasia on top of that. . Her speech therapy is/was very limited they came 2 to 3 times a week. Her association skills are solid, she sings old songs word perfect and occasionally blurts out full familiar sentences and phrases. These winter months I feel have really drained her of motivation so I am looking for resources to really get her going again. She is fighting with so much also. Lack of mobility, bowel issues, limited sight but she is still very positive and content most days. She is always laughing and joking like she use to and loves her music and to sing. I want to thank you for being a resource. I will be downloading your material and content from time to time with my mum's progress. Thank you again.

My mom has a similar situation after stroke. She’s been working with a speech therapist for a few years and also practices at home every day.
Before reading, she uses a simple app - alphabet and syllables speech, as a warm-up - typing words and listening to them. It also helps her check how words sound.
Progress is slow, but little by little it gets better. Stay strong.

I had my stroke in January, 2025. My speech was somewhat impaired, but understandable. But last year, around the holidays, it got significantly worse. I went the emergency ward because I thought I had another stroke. The answer was no. Have encountered anything like that?
