which is your favourite 'women-led' bollywood movie?

Female lead movies would definitely work if the Female Lead movies were not always about rebelling and cheating and empowering but rather just a good film about a Main Character who just happens to be female...

I want Bollywood to make more female centric movies without showing pseudo-feminism...
All these things combined with instagram reels are harming new generation mentality in very negative ways

When I was a teenager, my favorite movie was Mean Girls, Confession of a Shopaholic, 13 going on 30 and Devil wears Prada. Now I understand why I liked those movies and why they were my comfort movies. Because it catered to my female gaze and gave me escapism without being preachy and at the same time entertained me by showing me the world which I had never seen before.

The k-drama "it's okay to not to be okay" is highly female centric drama, but if you watch it ,the anticipation of the male lead you will know how good  a visual representation of good potryal of emotions can be, i highly recommend it to watch it.

Bollywood defines three thing's...

1). Remake's
2). Nonsense
3). Money

🙏

The problem is in story and story telling. Audience doesn't care much about the gender.
English vinglish, Mary Kom,NH10 are really good movies.

The problem with female led cinema is that they’re expected to show “real feminism” like, there’s a space called chic flicks too which are made just for fun. Realistic cinema is fine but do we really need a movie to give a lesson all the time?

The way he described why women like K-drama more than man is so true. I never realized why men hated K-drama so much but this explanation explained a major part of it.

I already feel bad for our bollywood actress when they try to do female oriented movies and give such wonderful performance we don't appreciate their acting skills but when they exploit themselves and do some sexy item song or give some mediocre performance we appreciate it very well like take example of Tripti Dimri her performance in Qala is outstanding but got appreciated in Animal as Bhabhi 2 which shows that we as an audience are fucking hypocrites.........

I really couldn't like Usha's story in Lipstick under my Burkha. It felt problematic that she was effectively lying and scamming a younger man than herself. Imagine a 56 year old man was lying to a young 20 year old woman and was having phone sex with her posing as a young guy... Yeah. She was shown to be a victim when she wasn't. The other two stories aren't my cup of tea, but I can get behind the story and message.

"Damini" and "Mother India" is one of my favourite movies of bollywood .

I want the Indian movie industry to make a female led movie without any romantic shit.

Bollywood female movies won't work in india but Hollywood does because they know how to keep up with audience

empowerment is not equal to cheating, sexualizing.
English Vinglish was amazing movie and commercially successful as well.
Aspirations, struggles, empowerment, Discrimination, Motivation, Societal Harmony ye sab nahi hota mostly.

Even Pakistani dramas are being watched by 95% of Pakistani females and also by Indian women. There’s a limited number of men who these drama serials and at present most of those drama serials are being written by female writers.

I like the movie Crew, though this movie got mixed reviews from the critiques.....This movie reminds me about female bonding (kind of Charlie's Angels), entertainment, comedy......

People think this as a joke but actually cinderella rapunzel mona all these disney princess have much better Story and haow can be forget mulan.. They can't even beat children bed time stories

There's a reason why k dramas, Turkish dramas and even pakistani dramas are so big in young indian girls... coz their content is based on girly things. watch "cennet" series of turkey it's based on a girl his mother and her step sister, or maybe "Fatima gul" or "feriha" both based girl's lead stories.. zindagi channel was so big In india coz it used to broadcast Turkish and pakistani dramas, my own sisters love these serieses more than any indian content.

The main difference i have seen in korean drama, thai drama is that their series , stories are presented in a very neat and clean way , none of the character was overhyped...
But in indian film industry mostly  male characters are being  over hyped , and female characters are below the table ...
In korean and thai there's a story , emotion and all kind of romances are shown but in a very respectful manner.
Also I personally think that women's imagination power is very strong thats why they can make films ,series with lots of real and fantasise emotions and stories ex:- K drama , Bl drama etc
