I retired last year and i would agree with everything you said, especially keeping classroom management simple. I think we've really overcomplicated that in the past several years.

Hi Susan! Happy Sunday and thank you for this video! These are the things that I struggled with last year. This fall I will be a third year teacher. My first year was in third grade and then last year, I moved to second, which is where I am again this year. I love teaching primary but am still learning that I need to slow down and be very deliberate with routines and procedures. I have been a follower and member of your clubs for several years now. I truly appreciate the time, care, and quality that you put into everything that you put out!! Thank you!!

First year 2nd grade teacher coming up this school year. So glad to have found your channel. I used to teach Elementary Drama and when covid hit, went back to school to teach general ed. Been in the Elementary setting for 20 years, but this will be a whole new ballgame. Excited is an understatement. Thank you for all you do!

Refreshing video - I will recommend it. I also want to recommend exploring tips on creating classroom "team" spirit" - "We are better together" feeling - it works magic for me - I'm a teacher with 35 year of experience.
