In this video, I tried every major meal deal in the UK to find out which one is actually the best. I visited Tesco, Co-op, Pret A Manger, Greggs, M&S, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons, comparing their meal deals on price, taste, value, and overall quality.

I also look at how many locations each brand has across the UK, and break down what you actually get for your money. After trying them all, I rank each one and give my picks for best overall, best taste, and best value, before revealing my top 3 meal deals in the UK.
Which supermarket or chain does it best? Let’s find out.

Part two every premium meal deal!

The funniest meal deal I've ever seen was from Tesco: A big box of mango for main, a small box of mango as the snack and a can of Tenzing mango 😆

I miss the days when Tesco meal deal was £3 without a club card

“If you’re hungry, Pret probably ain’t the one”…pulls out a fat baguette 😂

Boots is widely credited with pioneering the modern British meal deal, launching their iconic sandwich-drink-snack combo on October 6, 1999. Originally trialed in 16 stores for £2.50, it was designed to offer convenient, affordable lunches to busy workers and shoppers before supermarkets adopted the concept.

You've missed the £5 Waitrose meal deal Harrison - elite!

what about Boots, the originator of the meal deal

I had Morrisons last week, you can get a medium salad bar box as the main, which you can pack full, had granola pot for side and Starbucks caramel latte, came to over £9 separately but £3.50 as the meal deal. Was genuinely shook

Love how Harrison runs the entire gamut of eating options, cheap, Michelin, shopping & cooking - delivery - he does it all!

Why isn't this video 40-50 min long?
I could keep on watching.

M&S have always been front runners in terms of quality (along with Waitrose) - sometimes it’s worth paying the extra for a higher quality product.

The morrisons near me has a fresh salad bar which is included in the meal deal - you can stuff it full of the spicy chicken pasta it's such a bargain and it's fucking delicious

@Space-Holiday 6 months ago (edited)

The best part about Morrisons is you can swap your main for a medium salad at the salad bar, and you can absolutely fill the box with salad and pasta.

This would've been a better comparison if you kept the sandwich fillings the same at every store. (chicken, ham or vegetarian, etc.)

9:08 Was in Greggs one time and got the chicken tenders and a drink, guy told me it’s cheaper to get a sausage roll with it! Greggs will always be class

you didn't get the £5 Waitrose one; I think that's the best value!

Sainsbury's are sneaky. The granola yoghurt things are classed as a main but are usually found mingling with the snacks. It means you can end up scanning two mains and a drink and not notice. On what planet is a small pot of granola yoghurt a main in a meal deal?

@Bob-e9f9q 6 months ago

Waitrose £5. Excellent quality and choice. Beats them all.

Sam Wilder and Harrison collab needed! Sam does these meal deals all the time.

Something not mentioned is in the Tesco and COOP meal deals you can get the biggest Red Bull included worth nearly £3 on its own, not saying Red bull is good but a good bargain, also coop offer a Costa Machine coffee also included worth £3.30 in the meal deal.
