In this video I discuss using greens right out of the tube compared to mixing your own greens using blue and yellow for your watercolor paintings. Which is best? Why would you want to mix your own? If you look at the colors I usually have on my watercolor palette you will notice that I basically paint with the primary colors Red, Blue & Yellow. Why is that? Well, watch this video, and I will explain how I like to create interest, depth and dimension in my watercolor paintings by letting colors mix and mingle - especially in my landscapes and florals!
Learn how to mix your own Sap Green, Hookers Green, Cascade Green & lots of other greens by using blues & yellows such as Phthalo Blue, Nickel Azo Yellow, Quinacridone Gold and Burnt Sienna!
