The audacity of him to name his video "A Measured Response"

It's very interesting how in the beginning James specifies that Nick is non-binary and calls them they/them... But as the video goes he exclusively uses he/him. Very interesting and really combats the transphobic accusations

For a guy with such severe memory issues that he can't remember whether or not he wrote the words in his script, he sure does seem to remember a lot of the reasons that he plagiarised and stole money with Telos.

At around the one hour mark when you say "I wish his mom wasn't dead..." my brain auto-completed that sentence with "so she could be ashamed of him."

And while it's not what you actually ended up saying, I can't really say I'd have disagreed if you had.

So his Final Girl was supposed to be a cheating bisexual woman?

That's really not helping the biphobia and misogyny allegations, James

also, james blatantly lies about the evil queen thing. he posted it without any attribution first, got called out, pulled it down, added in the “based upon the work by” title card, THEN reached out to the author. HB explicitly broke down this sequence of events in the plagiarism video, and james is tripling down on the lie.

Look, I HAD to do the plagiarism! My Dad is illiterate! I had no other option!

I subbed for the "oh my god they were roommates"

Forming a business in Canada is a $200 admin cost, that's it. It's dead simple

I'm still baffled that someone who almost certainly lied about their business degree, lied about being a film school grad, and who has been exposed of building a youtube career by stealing the works of others, were trying to convince the public that they can make good video essays and original films of any kind.

It's wild that he is still trying to pass this off as a big oopsie. He's finally calling it plagiarism, but he's still acting like "Oh, it was just a citation error" with a thousand different reasons why it wasn't really his fault. Note how he has never once addressed any of the numerous times he maliciously lied about the people who called him out before Hbomb, intentionally weaponizing his own following to bully his enemies into silence. I'm fully convinced that the only reason he didn't try it again is that Harris fucking dwarfs him in followers, and made his case so thoroughly and with such sweeping grandeur that James knew he stood no chance. I hope he keeps trying this, just coming back every few months and debasing himself in ever more pathetic fashion, desperately trying to claw back some of the stolen respectability he so jealously hoarded once upon a time. Being laughed at, mocked, and belittled for the rest of his life is the most fitting hell someone like James could be assigned to. The worst thing you can do to a narcissist is make them feel small.

This was literally just a self promotion with an ' I'm sorry' added in every now and then, not an apology.

Edit - he makes all these excuses for plagerism, but where are the excuses for the plagerism that he did BEFORE his mum's death and  Nick's moving and his issues with employment?

God the fact that he really says "sorry I forgot" the same way my abusive ex did the thousandth time  he did the thing I said triggered me, narcissists really do all read from the same playbook huh

BRO I have adhd, but i'm not so broken that I forget what i'm writing could be copied word for word from a source. My memory may be terrible, but it isn't THAT awful.

People have already mentioned that he didn't have permission for the evil queens video when he first put it up, but also remember from h.bomberguy's video, that Sommerton plagiarized from other  writers within that same video. It wasn't entirely taken from the evil queens book. Which is most likely why he hasn't put it back up.

I just watched a film "Wildhood" made by a young Nova Scotian film-maker in 2021, and there is simply NO way James would have been capable of making anything like it. James is all hat and no cattle.

I also have ADHD, and I don't think I've plagiarized anything by accident in my life lol. We forget where we put our keys when they're out of eye-sight, we don't forget things we do with our hyperfixation.

Rehabilitative justice is only applicable if the person wants to be rehabilitate. The numerous lies and manipulations in this video alone prove he doesn't.

There is no way he graduated from ANY college or university without knowing how to cite and not plagiarize. Or how to look up the information. Its so basic, its in most first composition classes. Id imagine if he graduated from any multimedia courses, they would at some point cover media specific citations as well

It's so baffling that he feels entitled to a platform like that.
Like as if he was in timeout and a good apology meant he could go back to getting a platform. No the apology is just the basic decent thing to do, and when people say "do better", "be better", it means growing as a person not fuckin showing off to the entire world how better you are.
I believe that people can change and shouldn't be treated as permanently evil even if they fucked up really hard, but that doesn't mean they have any right to a platform or any position of power they once had. If someone truely wants to get better it's  a personal thing and they shouldn't expect cheers for it.
