For almost two decades, four men seemed almost inseparable. One had the voice that could cut through a stadium. One could turn a guitar into its own language. One was the rhythm behind the scenes. And one had a voice so deep that you could hear it before you even knew who was singing.

Together, they became one of the biggest groups Kenya had ever produced, Sauti Sol. Bien. Savara. Polycarp. And Chimano.

But after nearly 18 years together, they did something very few people expected. They walked away from the group. And here's the part nobody talks about — what happened after the lights went out?

While Bien quickly became a familiar face with hit after hit, the other three began building lives that looked very different from what many fans expected. Which brings us to Chimano. If you remember Sauti Sol, you remember that deep voice, the fashion, the confidence, the presence. But what happens when one of the most recognizable members of a group suddenly has to stand alone? Where does Chimano go from there? And what does his life look like now?
