The past couple of months have been absolutely mental m9.

After watching my mate Louis finally catch the carp he'd been grafting for, it put everything back into perspective and gave me the push I needed to go for it myself.

That same night I headed back to the lake and managed a 30lb+ carp before sunrise. From there, I became completely locked into one area of the lake.

Over the next few weeks it became a case of rinse and repeat. Same bit of water, session after session. The bites kept coming and the stamp of fish was proper, but eventually I started questioning whether I was wasting my time staring at the same patch of lake.

I knew it would go one of two ways — the area would eventually die a death, or a biggun would turn up.
